Stainless steel CF3MN is a low carbon, nitrogen enhanced austenitic stainless steel with high corrosion resistance and strength property. It’s typically used for elevated temperature applications. CF3MN is 21 Chromium-24 Nickel with Molybdenum and Nitrogen, generally it’s CF3M + Nitrogen. Thus, CF3MN is same as 316LN (316L + Nitrogen). The nitrogen in stainless steel CF3MN adds additional resistance to sensitization in some application.

Heat to 1900°F [1040°C] minimum, hold for sufficient time to heat casting to temperature, quench in water or rapid cool by other means.
