CA6NM Heat treatment process: www.castingquality.com
Heat to 1850°F [1010°C] minimum, air cool to 200°F [95°C] maximum prior to any optional intermediate temper, but shall cool to 100°F [40°C] maximum before the final temper. The final temper shall be between 1050°F [565°C] and 1150°F [620°C].
In standard of ASMT A487, CA6NM has two classes A and B based on heat treatment process. CA6NM Class A should be tempered at can be at 1050-1150°F [565-650°C], and CA6NM Class B can be tempered in 1225-1275°F [665-690°C] or 1050-1150°F [565-650°C].

CA6NM Stainless Steel Mechanical Property:www.castingquality.com
ASTM A743/A487 Grade CA6NM don’t require impact requirement, but ASMT A352 Grade CA6NM and ASTM A757 Grade E3N require impact testing at -100°F [-73°C]. Buyers should confirm the Standard in drawings. ASTM 487 Grade CA6NM (Class A and B) has two mechanical properties because of its difference of heat treatment requirement.
