The typical tolerance for investment casting (Lost Wax Casting) is defined in ISO 8062 generally, but ICI also required a coordinate tolerance in ICI 1997.

ICI 1997 provide a single set tolerance between 0.5 inch to 10 inch. It’s similar to ISO 286-2 Class JS15

Generally, the tolerance will be affected by three factors:

Wax shrinkage factors.
tooling Design tolerance.
Process variation, include shell and material.
